I learned that anything with a center is a mandala and that we are mandalas. I learned that we are made of atoms and right now we are touching each other. I learned that we have a lot of similarities with the Chinese and we have a lot in common. We both have presidents and we both have families. Our language is sometimes different. I liked having to work with Mrs. C and learning about mandalas. Note:
This mandala was made in a Mandala Project
workshop called "Chinese-American Mandala" in May, 2000. After
a presentation on Chinese culture, each student created a mandala with
symbols from both Chinese and American cultures and then wrote about their
experience. Read more about the
workshop. |
