I learned that mandalas start from the middle and go out, just like a banana and an apple. I learned that I am a mandala and every human being is a mandala. I learned that the Chinese wear different clothes than Americans and they eat different foods than us too. We both have flags, houses and mandalas. We also have presidents. I liked how I found out what a mandala is and how it works. Note:
This mandala was made in a Mandala Project
workshop called "Chinese-American Mandala" in May, 2000. After
a presentation on Chinese culture, each student created a mandala with
symbols from both Chinese and American cultures and then wrote about their
experience. Read more about the
workshop. |
