Mandalas are very artistic and I learned that everything is a mandala. I learned the shapes and ways of using them. I learned that I am a a mandala and that I could be here and in France because I'm made of atoms and so is everything else. I have learned that Chinese people make mandalas. They have animals to represent the years. This is the year of the dragon. Chinese are similar to us with their hearts and symbols and they are different in how they are with their hearts. Like their heart could be soft or hard. The workshop was fun and I hope we have it again in 6th grade. Note:
This mandala was made in a Mandala Project
workshop called "Chinese-American Mandala" in May, 2000. After
a presentation on Chinese culture, each student created a mandala with
symbols from both Chinese and American cultures and then wrote about their
experience. Read more about the
workshop. |
