I learned that everything is a mandala. A mandala is kind of a way of seeing things - sort of like the earth. It has a middle and it spreads out. I enjoy being a mandala. Everything that happens in my life is sort of a mandala. The people in my family are mandala in a way. I love mandalas. I learned that China is one of the biggest countries in the world and that we should treat them as we would want to be treated. We Americans have the same kind of McDonald's as the Chinese. We both have presidents and congress. They might even have a number of ammendments like us. I liked pretty much everthing about the workshop. I especially liked how the Chinese have animals for each month. Note:
This mandala was made in a Mandala Project
workshop called "Chinese-American Mandala" in May, 2000. After
a presentation on Chinese culture, each student created a mandala with
symbols from both Chinese and American cultures and then wrote about their
experience. Read more about the
workshop. |
