I learned that mandalas are a point that generates to a circle. I learned that I am made of atoms.

What I learned about Chinese people is that rich Chinese people wore red. Their symbol is a dragon and they worship Buddha.

We are similar to Chinese people because we all have landmarks. We all live on the Earth. What's different is that we speak different languages.

I liked that we got to draw whatever we wanted.

Note: This mandala was made in a Mandala Project workshop called "Chinese-American Mandala" in May, 2000. After a presentation on Chinese culture, each student created a mandala with symbols from both Chinese and American cultures and then wrote about their experience. Read more about the workshop.
