What I learned about mandalas is that there's a center and it's everywhere. What I learned about myself is that I have a center in my body.

I learned about China and Chinese people and that China has a Great Wall and they wear different clothes than us. The similarities between American people and Chinese people is that they wear clothes. The difference between Chinese and American people is that they have different houses.

What I liked about the workshop is that she showed us different stuff about China.

Note: This mandala was made in a Mandala Project workshop called "Chinese-American Mandala" in May, 2000. After a presentation on Chinese culture, each student created a mandala with symbols from both Chinese and American cultures and then wrote about their experience. Read more about the workshop.
