I learned that atoms are mandalas and that the earth is a mandala. Many things are mandalas. Atoms (mandalas) connect me to everyone in the room I'm in right now.

Chinese people have many things similar to us Americans and many different things too. Chinese people like kites and so do we. And we both have presidents. They don't eat burgers and hot dogs and we don't use chop sticks.

I had fun and I learned a lot about mandalas and Chinese people.

Note: This mandala was made in a Mandala Project workshop called "Chinese-American Mandala" in May, 2000. After a presentation on Chinese culture, each student created a mandala with symbols from both Chinese and American cultures and then wrote about their experience. Read more about the workshop.
